Reinaldo Handaya is a professional architectural CG artist from Indonesia and the co-founder and CEO of 2G Studio and 2G Academy. A civil engineer by profession, he graduated from Petra Christian University in 2002. He used to own a furniture shop from 2002 until 2009 where he first started producing interior renders to sell his products and here is where he found his true passion for 3d art and started his free lancing career as a CG artist. He later on co-founded 2G Studio in 2011 which provides architectural visualization services to companies in countries around the world such as Australia, Brazil, U.S.A., Singapore, England and Japan not to mention prestigious architecture firms such as Nikken Sekkei, EMAAR, Ong & Ong and DP Architects which are just some among 2G Studio’s client list. His work has been featured in world renowned CG websites such as CG Architect, Vray Workshop, CG Record, Ronen Bekermen and CG Arena. In 2013 he became a Vray Certified Professional and also a member of the American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI) where his submitted work received an Award of Excellence. Teaching about 3D art is something he’s also passionate about, offering guidance to serious upcoming artists through his extensive online courses in 2G Academy which is proudly supported by important software developers such as Chaos Group, Exlevel, Viz Park and iToo Software. He’s an official speaker for Chaos Group and Vray, touring in Asia Pacific countries such as Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines, and often participates in CG events in other parts of the globe where he imparts workshops and shares his workflow such as the 3D Symposium in Mexico in 2014. In collaboration with his team, he always strives to improve the quality of his craft while also contributing as much he can to the 3D community and the 3D Industry.
