The WHITE OAK tree (scientific name: Quercus Aliena) is a set of tree models for autumn scenes. The four included tree variations from the REAL TREES bundle are provided as static models with shaders applied and a set of variable leaf textures. A range of formats is available, including 3Ds Max, Sketchup, Blender, MODO, Cinema 4D, LightWave, Artlantis, Rhino, Sketchup, OBJ and FBX.

I downloaded the file in FBX format, imported it into Keyshot, changed the materials from diffuse to plastic with a little roughness and the tree was perfect. It is also really easy to change the color of the leaves by checking “Blend with color” in the Texture window. Super easy to use and looks really nice.

I’m using this in Sketchup and Thea Render. Makes for an easy to use proxy for my models. Plan on using it in conjunction with Skatter for larger forest elements in model backgrounds. This is well suited for that.
