REAL TREES II is a realistic 3D tree model library for architectural visualization. The library includes 15 different exotic tree species, each with several model variations to ensure realistic looks. The models are included as single 3D models for 3Ds Max, Sketchup, MODO, Blender, Rhino, Cinema 4D, FBX, OBJ and scattered forest presets for easy forest creation (as Forest Pack Pro presets for 3Ds Max, mograph presets for Cinema 4D and replicator presets for MODO). The GrowFX version includes procedural versions of the trees for further modification, randomization and wind animation.

    Wind Animation*

    Using GrowFX you can animate trees with wind easily

    All of the trees in the GrowFX version are prepared with a wind FX. You can easily animate each tree with wind, change the wind strength, turbulence and more from subtle to stormy. This feature requires the GrowFX plugin for 3ds Max from Exlevel. More information can be found on the Exlevel website.

    Unlimited Random Trees*

    Create unlimited tree variations with GrowFX

    All of the trees in the GrowFX version can be easily changed with random variation. Simply click on the “New” seed button and a new random tree will be generated. You´ll never “run out of trees” if you can create as many variations as you want. You can even change tree size, level of detail, growth or other parameters easily within the GrowFX parameters.

    Real Trees II - Frequently Asked Questions

    It depends on what you have and need. If you plan to create new random variations of trees or create wind animation, you should take the GrowFX version. If you can work with static models, you can choose the 3Ds Max version. In any case, all of the static models files of the 3Ds Max version also ALSO included in the GrowFX version. Choosing the GrowFX version will give you EVERYTHING from the 3Ds Max version PLUS the GrowFX files.
    No, you don´t NEED to own GrowFX to use Real Trees. The 3Ds Max version (not the GrowFX version) has static models, while the GrowFX version includes each tree as 3ds Max scene with GrowFX as model source. Using GrowFX will enable you to create more random variations of each tree, animate growth or wind.
    Well, yes and no. If you want to create Forests, like the ones included in this product, then YES, you should consider Forest Pack Pro from iToosoft, because it´s the most advanced scattering plugin for 3ds Max on the market. There are alternatives for scattering, like Multiscatter, or even the integrated Particle Flow together with the new vray instancer feature in vray 3.0 or Corona scatter within Corona itself. But the easiest and fastest solution to create large scale forests with many trees really is Forest Pack Pro.
    NO, you don´t need Forest Pack Pro, if you want to place trees individually in your scene, in a garden, on a street or other defined places which do not require hundreds or thousands of trees.
    Yes, the GrowFX version includes EVERYTHING from the 3Ds Max version PLUS the GrowFX scene files for each single tree.
    The installation is easy, as you only need to copy one folder from the download in your Forest Pack Pro user library. The installation is described in a short instruction textfile that can be found inside of the Forest Pack Pro folder from the download.
